The match reading updates as you frame. It judges colour the way you see it — shade and bright sun don’t count against you, a different hue does.

Questions

Is Kolir free?

Yes — it’s free to download and play on iPhone and Android.

Why can’t I use a photo from my gallery?

The game is finding the colour today, not having a photo of it somewhere. Shots come from the in-app camera and have to be submitted within a few minutes of being taken.

How does the app decide if my photo matches?

It measures how much of the frame reads as today’s colour, counting the middle of the shot most, since that’s what you aimed at. Lighting is forgiven — the same red in shade still counts — but a neighbouring hue doesn’t. The camera shows the same reading live, so you know before you shoot.

When does the colour change?

At midnight in your own time zone. Everyone gets the same colour on the same date, and there are 365 of them, so none repeats for a year.

What happens if I miss a day?

Your streak starts again from the next colour you find. Your longest streak, your XP and your calendar of past hunts all stay.

Can I keep my photos to myself?

Yes. A private profile keeps your hunts out of the feed and stops anyone else opening your profile, and you can hide any single photo from the feed too.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Settings → Profile → Delete account. It removes your photos, streak, likes and profile for good, straight away.
